Remarks: If accepted this will be my 100th picture on jetphotos.net. A big thanks go to my family for supporting my hobby, the Hong Kong spotters and everybody else who has helped me improve. Thanks also have to go to the screeners and other site staff who dedicate their time to creating a great atmosphere for any spotter.
Remarks: Waiting to get parked after the ramp reopens once lightening subsides. The lightening equipment detected hundreds of hits within the fence during this storm. After about 30 minutes of watching it go I finally went out to take some pics. Quite a sight indeed. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence to the East.
Remarks: My 2500th photo on JetPhotos.net. A 747 landing at SXM always draws a large crowd, especially at the point where the 747 is literally meters above your head. Hold your breath as the jumbo goes over your head.
Remarks: An old 35mm photo taken by me when I was 10, so its pretty bad but a rare shot. This horrible crash left 5 dead including the ex. CIA director of that time. This crash hit the news all over the world.
Remarks: Seen a day after it skidded off the runway. The quality isn´t great, but you can see the back slides and the spoiler deployed. Also, notice the left landing gear detached from the fuselage. They were really lucky, as the acft. stopped within meters of a deep ditch. This shot was taken as we were lifting off from Rwy 25R.
